If this is your first time to visit QED Records, you may be overwhelmed by the sheer amount of releases available. (We’ve been around for 6 years, after all.) We thought it might be nice to offer you an easy way to browse our material by genre, and in this case download house music.
ElectronicaManila:One is one in a series of releases by the Philippine collective of electronic musicians known as ElectronicaManila. The materials in this compilation have been contributed by the members of EM and showcase everything from house and techno, to DNB, breakbeat, downtempo, and broken beat. 25 tracks of blissful headphone candy and dancefloor tunes.
Originally released under AstigRecords, this compilation is being re-released under QED Records in preparation for future EM releases. Enjoy the electronic sounds of the Philippines!

Email interview with Emorej. September 6, 2008.
In his secret identity, Emorej wears business attire and goes to an office from 9 to 5, for a company that sells scales and panels for construction. When the day is over however, he retreats to his den and fires up the software that has turned this mild-mannered businessman into an aggressive, one-person, tune-making and marketing machine. He started making music in 2001 using a program called ACID PRO and entering remix contests on the AcidPlanet community of Acid Pro users. Today, he still cannot play any instrument in the traditional sense, opting instead to craft songs using samples, virtual instruments, and his computer. This is one artist who refuses to play live. Just because it’s not his cup of tea.

Emorej is too shy for the camera.
Instead of his photo, here is his keyboard, the Creative Prodikeys.
(qd-4245) Acid42 - Nykto - Original Soundtrack
[QD-4245] Acid42 : Nykto: Original Soundtrack
Nykto by Acid42, is a series of tunes which comprise the original soundtrack to the 12-minute independent short video of the same title, directed by Elvert dela Cruz Bañares, which in turn, was loosely based on a poem entitled “Darkness” by Arris Rivera. The music is a mix of ethnic and electronic, world and urban, dark and light melodies, silence and rhythm, meandering into hope and fulfillment, as eventually all darkness must pass.
The music was created by Acid42 (Lionel Valdellon) without having seen or known anything about the film except for a brief conceptual phrase: darkness to light. The album also includes remixes by Bleedingboy|Soundtrack and Emorej, two more Philippine electronica producers and regular QED Records contributors.
FILE UNDER: worldbeat, soundtrack, electronica, ethnotronica, less morose than Morricone, world-y like Peter Gabriel, more alive than Dead Can Dance.

(qd-4223) Emorej - Potpourri
[QD-4223] : EMOREJ : Potpourri (album)
Once again, the samplist known as Emorej pits his Acid Pro skills against vocal loops, 4-on-the-floor kickdrums and all sorts of fine funky riffs to come up with a chunky mix of vocal house, trance, drum n bass, breakbeats and even a jazzy downtempo number or two. Equal parts Dance Dance Revolution, Moby, C+C Music Factory and Deee-Lite/Towa Tei, this is one Potpourri that sure smells funky as a llama’s behind.
